Athena

Little Athena is a lovely little girl who is active and playful with her littermates and her toys, and who also loves a quiet soft cuddle. Her brothers are quite boisterous, but she is fast on her feet and can dodge and run if she needs too. When she's had enough she often finds a spot on one of the dog beds with one of the adult dogs who she likes to cuddle up too. She is a very affectionate little girl and appreciates her special time with her foster carer. She is just a gorgeous little pup.

This puppy has had a rough time. She travelled all the from Fregon to come into care with us. As it turned out all the puppies were incubating parvovirus. With good veterinary care she survived the illness, but has taken a couple of weeks to start to thrive again. We are currently building her weight back up, and intend to give all the pups extra time in care before they have their operations. They will be de-sexed and have their second immunisations at 10 weeks and then be ready to travel in a month.

Athena's mum is a light framed 18 kg dog with a lovely nature, and we expect Athena to grow to about this size. Mum is also in care and will also be ready for adoption soon.

Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Athena's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide.
