About Luna
LUNA'S STORY
Last November we took in a very young "possibly pregnant" and very wary young cat called Luna. That night the family who surrendered her found her 6 newborn kittens under the house. They fed them overnight and brought them in the following morning. We put them in with Luna, wondering what her reaction would be - she very quickly got them cuddled up and feeding and proved to be a very conscientious mum. Because she was very wary of humans at this point I felt it would be difficult to find a secure foster placement, so we kept her and the kittens at the shelter where they could get used to a range of humans.
Luna quickly learnt that there are advantages to having food provided morning and night, especially when you have six kittens to feed, and seemed to look forward to meal times. She gradually became more relaxed and friendly will roll over for tummy rubs from her favorite carers.
The kittens grew into inquisitive friendly little bundles, and have all moved on to new homes.
Luna enjoys playing with our other young cats - she is still only a little over a year old. She is a gentle girl who just needs time to get to know you in a calm household.
She is desexed microchipped, fully vaccinated and treated for fleas and worms.
Luna is a little shy until she gets to know you and would prefer to stay in the local area as she has not had much travel experience. If you think that Luna could be the girl for you, we would love you to come in and meet her.
