About Maggie
We are in love with Maggie our Border Collie mix. She is a quiet, loving, trusting and obliging lass who just wants to settle and get on with life with a forever family. We are not quite sure of her age but her history shows she is between 6 and 9 years of age. Maggie would best suit the family that wants to include her in their everyday life and wants to share their home with her. Maggie wouldn't necessarily need a canine companion, she would be quite happy with the company of her human family. She loves to be inside the home and has impeccable inside manners. She will sleep on her mat and ask to be let outside if she needs. Maggie will competently use a doggie door. Maggie has a super soft wavy coat and is currently sporting a short hair do, all ready for the warmer weather. While she may be a working breed Maggie is not high maintenance or high energy. Like any canine companion she will need exercise for general well being. Maggie loves having a ball thrown for her and going for a walk but the rest of the time she'd be happy to just be with you. Our Maggie is cat friendly, dog friendly, car and travel friendly, kid friendly, chicken friendly, cattle friendly, horse friendly... just friendly! Maggie is a beautiful soul.
Since being in care we have noticed Maggie may have some hearing loss. A visit to the vet was unable to determine this but we feel it is something her forever family should be mindful of. Maggie will need secure yard. Rural fencing does not work for Maggie unless she has a property she can safely wander on.
Our Maggie is desexed, microchipped, wormed, flea free, her vaccination and heart worm treatment is up to date.
