About Hallie ~ Mastiff X puppy (on trial 25/9/2017)
Hallie is an 8 week old, female, Mastiff X puppy.
Hello Hallie! The smallest and the bossiest from our litter of Ruby’s pups. Hallie has been listed as a Mastiff cross, because well, we really have no idea what breed her dad was. We know her mum is a Kelpie cross, but all her pups look very different! Hallie has a white coat with patches and at 8 weeks looks a bit like a full grown Foxy. But don’t be fooled, Hallie will grow to be a medium to large sized dog.
Hallie has been in care since she was 2 days old. From the moment she opened her eyes and could walk she has been telling the others what’s what! She has a cheeky personality and will make sure to get her fair share of pats and cuddles. She dearly loves her brothers and sisters and would love to have a big dog to play with in her forever home. She will be considered as an only dog, as long as someone is home with her most of the time while she’s young.
Hallie has hit the jackpot as is currently being minded by a trainer until old enough for adoption. She is learning to sleep in a crate at night which means she has a head start in toilet training! She is being socialised with 3 big dogs and learning to confidently explore the world. We highly recommend that all puppies are taken to puppy school by their new families, to teach them what is expected and how to behave both inside and outside the home.
Hallie is going to need a large sized yard with secure gates and fencing and must be allowed to sleep inside at least until fully grown. As she is going to be a big dog, any children in her family will need to be confident to deal with her playfulness while she is still a puppy. She may also be prone to stealing toys! Hallie will need to be fed 4 times a day until she is 3 months old, so if your household is out all day, please consider a slightly older dog and not a baby pup.
Maggie's siblings Maggie and Maverick are also available for adoption.
As Hallie is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Hallie, please contact her foster mum Lauren on hitthesand@hotmail.com. Hallie is in foster care in Port Stephens.
Hallie's adoption fee is $500 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
