About Xander
Xander is a very special boy; with a beautiful loving personality. A boy that just wants to be loved, cuddled and understood.
He is an interesting mix of breeds and has a thick like block head like a Rottweiler but is sweet, protective and caring like all three breeds.
Xander has been exposed to a diverse range of things in his young life. He is good with other dogs and would great in a home with another playful but respectful dog. If someone was home more often than not he would do fine as a very much loved only dog. He is very loyal to people so someone who wants to take him out and about on adventures and in the car would be his favourite.
He is good with people, kids, and cats. And has also been exposed to livestock/ free range and cooped poultry/ horses in his previous home.
He is best suited to a more quiet styled home, he loves the rural life soban acreage or semi rural house would suit him great. He loves the fresh air and space. He wouldn't suit the city life but a quiet suburbia might suit well. We wouldn't recommend he goes to a home that wants to frequent off leash dog parks or dog beaches; although he is good with other dogs. We don't think he would cope with the excessive amount of random interactions.
He does require fencing over 4ft but is also electric fence and collar boundary fencing trained.
He is excellent indoors, and is very well toilet trained and crate trained. He finds great safety in his crate so a home that continued this or was willing to continue this for him would be perfectly suited. He does very much enjoy his own space so this is perfect for him.
One thing we have noticed is that Xander can be quite shy when his collar is touched or a slip leash is put around him. And he isn't a fan of land cruisers. We aren't sure what has happened in his short life but although he can be a little nervous, he does persevere and show how confident and proud he can be.
Xander is looking for a caring home that can allow him both indoors and outdoors. Take him out and about. And also understand him. He's very gentle and caring and would suit a reasonably experienced owner.
Xander is located in the Hunter Valley and his adoption fee is $350

If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
