Tink

Hi my name is Tink, I am a 5 year old Pomeranian X and I am searching for my perfect forever home! I’m a lovely girl with a gorgeous nature and absolutely love giving lots of kisses on the noses of those I’m close to.

In my foster home I have been living with two dogs and two cats which I was quite unsure of at first, but after a couple of days and supervised interactions, I settled right in. It took me a little longer to get used to the cats but after I learned who’s boss, I respected their space. I would prefer living with dogs who aren’t nervous, timid or overly excited as I can clash quite easily with them. I also prefer smaller dogs but any dog with a calm nature I will surely love. In my new forever home I will need a place with a secure backyard because if I get out I will run and want to explore everywhere.

I am very good with older kids and I don’t mind younger kids who will respect my space but if I get pushed too far I will react by growling, showing my teeth and being a bit snappy. If I start doing this all I need is a quick but firm “No!” and I will stop.

My adorable fluffy face melts everyones heart, but I take a little while to trust new people. So give me time and I will be your best friend.

Since being in my foster home I have learnt how to sit, shake, stay, wait and come on command. I am also toilet trained and walk really well on the lead! I love to sleep on the bed at night but I’m happy to sleep outside as well. I can be very independent but will always check in for a cuddle and a kiss and stay with you if you want. My foster family says that without my foster siblings I would become lonely and nervous so I need an animal friend in my new home.

My life before my foster home has left me a bit nervous and unsure. This just means I will need regular socialisation and constant structure in my home so I don’t fall back into my anxious habits. I know my face is adorable but my foster family says that isn’t an excuse for being naughty. I will need someone who is willing to be firm, calm and patient with me when I do something naughty, especially around food because I am not good at sharing it with other dogs but I am improving every day!
