About Rupert
Rupert has a fairly laid back personality, he takes most things in his stride and is happy to share his time with his family and the other canine members of his family.
This little cutie is enjoying his playtime and loves going to the park for a run. After his adventures, Rupert loves sleeping in front of the heater, or curling up on the couch to share lots of cuddles with his people. With tragic eyes, and expressive ears, Rupert is ready to win you over!
While he has been in care Rupert has been exposed to many different animals. He is good with cats, and other dogs. He shows no interest in chickens, and minimal interest in rabbits.
Since coming into our care, Rupert has started some basic training. He is a very clever boy who aims to please his family and likes to be told he is a good boy. He is toilet trained and is learning to let his carers know when he needs to go outside. At the moment he is welcomed inside throughout the day to be a part of everything going on in the home and loves being a part of it all. He is very happy to be offered a warm bed inside overnight to feel safe and settle quite quickly.
Considering his active, intelligent breed, Rupert will be looking for a home where he will receive regular walks and exercise to continue his exposure to the outside world. These outings will be a great way to offer him extra stimulation and help him learn what life is all about. Lots of socialization with new people and other dogs will be great for his social skills. We have been told Rupert and his siblings are Staghound x Kelpie, there could be other breeds in there also but the vets are unable to make definite identifications.
Having another dog in the home will be a huge asset to Rupert. He loves their company and will enjoy having a companion to learn from and share his days with. He is a very smart mix of breeds and will become very bored living his life as an only dog in home.
Rupert loves everyone! He has been raised in a large family and has been lucky enough to share him time with children of all ages. He will happily be everyone's best friend.
If you have a warm sofa to share with this gorgeous boy, please send us an enquiry and we will be in touch shortly.
Rupert is currently in Ballarat, VIC
Medical notes
Rupert has been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated.
Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
