About Charlize
NO MORE ENQUIRIES PLEASE. ADOPTION PENDING.
Charlize is a gorgeous miniature apricot/cream purebred poodle ready now for her new permanent, loving home. She will grow to be approximately 16" tall with a good sturdy body, just like her father Tommy! D.O.B. 17.05.17.
Charlize comes from a good background and not from a backyard breeder.
She will need good secure fencing (colourbond preferred) and locked gates to keep her safe. Another dog in the family would give her a playmate as she is used to being around and playing with her friends and siblings. Preference may be given to someone who already has a poodle.
Grooming a poodle is never-ending and a visit to a professional dog groomer would cost approximately $50-60 each visit. Poodles should be clipped/trimmed every 8-10 weeks to keep their coat healthy, with particular emphasis placed on their face, ears, feet and bottom. Although they have a non-shedding coat, poodles do have plenty of hair that needs regular attention and checking (inside ears and on bottom of feet.) They are quite high maintenance dogs.
Applications to adopt Charlize are now being accepted and each application will be judges on dog and owner suitability. Please note that submitting an adoption application does not guarantee your application will be successful.
It should also be pointed out that poodles have a long lifespan - usually 17+ years for a healthy dog - so this needs to be considered when adopting a "puppy".
Charlize will be a very loyal and devoted companion, poodles love human company and bond very quickly with their owner. She is highly intelligent and should learn commands very quickly. We are very confident that Charlize will adapt to her new environment and should be an integral part of her family.

.......................
Midcoast Dog Rescue Inc. is trying to expand its foster carer network so that we can help more dogs in need. This is a very rewarding experience and suits a variety of people. Some people, for whatever reason, are unable to make a permanent commitment to a dog, a commitment which can last for up to 15 years. Others use the fostering experience as an interim measure before committing to permanently owning a dog. If you think you could be interested in becoming a foster carer, either on a long-term or a short-term basis, and would like more information please contact Nigel on 6584 4992 or Wendy on 6584 7027.
