Looking for a gentle and affectionate dog to join your home? Meet Zohn!
Zohn is a love bug – he is a very affectionate dog who is friendly with everyone that he meets. He enjoys meeting new people and even knows when to be even gentler and quieter around less dog confident people. Zohn loves a cuddle and getting affection which you can see by the look on his face. He is a very well behaved dog despite his size and he is careful in the house not to knock things over. Generally, Zohn is a confident and calm dog who will make a great addition to many homes.
Being a larger dog, Zohn thoroughly enjoys getting out and about for a walk or a run. He is great to walk and will greet any of the other dogs he meets while out and about with a friendly and calm attitude. Zohn will ignore other dogs being reactive when he’s on his walk including those small yappy dogs. He will require daily exercise and stimulation to keep him healthy and happy throughout his life as he does not like to be bored.
He is well trained in the basics but does need to be told the expectations as he will push the boundaries if given the chance to see what fun he can have. He walks to heel, sits and waits for his dinner, sits to have the lead put on, and understands ‘stay’, ‘sit’, ‘on your mat’, and ‘off to bed’. His carer has taught him not to jump up on people and he is doing this less and less. Zohn is fully house/toilet trained and sleeps throughout the night. He is the type of dog who would enjoy being further trained to do more than the ordinary pet dog but this is not essential.
Zohn is his happiest around people so we are looking for a home where someone will be home more often than not, or where he can go to work with his owner so that he can enjoy their companionship. He is currently going to the office with his foster carer and sits happily there most of the day as long as he can see what is going on and have people say hi to him. Zohn is not suited to living with cats or pocket pets as he would find these things fun to chase if they run. He should be included as part of the family and taken on daily activities and outings or adventures. Zohn should be allowed inside and have a warm comfy bed to sleep on. There should also be lots of hugs and pats for this beautiful boy!
