About Marley
This adorable young lady is very loyal, sweet, gentle and clever.
Marley is a little shy at first but settles quickly with one throw of her ball to show you are a friend. You will have a new pal who is a super smooch and full of love for her family. This cutie has had a great start to life in her foster home and has been raised with children who she enjoys spending her time with. She has received lots of love and some basic training to prepare her for her new family. She loves to learn and impress. Marley has great manners and already knows how to sit, wait and will come when she is called.
Marley also has the company and guidance from the resident dog and has learnt important boundaries and how to socialize well with her canine friends. She has been introduced to many dogs and has not had any issues being introduced to new doggy friends.
Marley loves her visits to the park
Having a male doggy friend in her new home will be very important for Marley to continue having a special bond with a new friend who is happy to offer her guidance and lots of company. She has lots of energy so it will be best if her new friend is of similar size and energy levels. A home with a female dog will not be considered due to dominance issues that can occur as a pup matures.
Marley is fully toilet trained and is currently enjoying a wonderful mix of an indoor/outdoor lifestyle. She is offered a bed inside overnight to keep her warm and safe and it would be great to hear this will continue for her in her new home so she can feel like an important family member.
Regular walks and outings will be great to offer Marley lots of bonding time and stimulation. She is still getting the hang of walking on lead and her carer can see regular improvement. She will not require a lot of exercise until she is fully grown but will then enjoy lots of runs and plays. Fetching the ball is something Marley really enjoys and she will happily bring it back unless she sees something more exciting happening.
Considering her mix of energetic breeds, Marley will be extremely well suited to a home with a large sized yard or acreage where she will have plenty of room to stretch her legs as she grows.
She has shown some herding abilities when visiting her friends at the park. Rounding them up seems to be a game that comes natural to her and she really gets 'in the zone' and is happy when they are all placed together. This seems to be a favourite game for her as she is getting older.
Herding/flyball classes will be something that we believe Marley will thrive at. She is showing a natural instinct and we are starting to see that she would excel in these types of activities.
Marley has been quite easy to train as she is quite food orientated and will do anything she can for a treat. In the right home where her training will be continued Marley will continue learning and will become a wonderful new family member.
If you would like to offer Marley a special place in your home we look forward to hearing from you
Marley is currently in Bentleigh East, Victoria
Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
