About Honey ~ Pomeranian (on trial 10/9/2017)
Hi my name is Honey and I am a 4 year old Pomeranian girl and I weigh 7.6kg. I am a bit overweight at the moment but my carer has cut back on my food intake and now I am a very energetic, excitable raring to go walker who finds the outside world very exciting. I jump and twirl with joy when my harness comes out. I am also told that I am a sweet natured, happy ball of hair.
My cuddling and affection skills are second to none until I get too hot and have to chill out on my back for a while. Inside with my humans or on the lounge is definitely where I prefer to be and with a human companion around most of the time to keep me company. I don’t like to be left at home too long in case I
bark at other dogs although I am improving.
Children of most ages are OK with me but I do like to give them kisses. I get along with my very small foster brother even though he bites my ears and have also lived with 4 other dogs. I haven’t met any cats so am not sure how I would react to them. Although anxious when going in the car I do start to calm down with a little reassurance – that’s a bit strange as I jump into the car if the door is open!!
My coat needs brushing every few days to keep my good looks and I really enjoy the attention. I can use a doggy door and don’t have any accidents inside. I sleep on the lounge at night as my mean carers won’t let me sleep on their bed. I like to be higher up to sleep comfortably and I am not interested in those doggy beds.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
