Patch

Need a devoted new friend? Patch is a small delight who loves people and is just waiting for your pats. At the mature age of 13, there will be no puppy messes or chewed shoes to worry about!
As age we get a few extra health concerns that we have to keep an eye on and Patch is just like us. He does have the following conditions:
- Senile nuclear sclerosis
- This is a normal change to the lenses of the eyes in older dogs.
- Incidental heart murmur
- Can be heard but is not currently affecting him in any way.
- Luxating patella
- Very common in small dogs, currently doesn't require any treatment.
- Arthritic changes in his hips
- To be expected in an older dog, doesn't currently require any medication.

Please don't be put off by Patch's age because, with the right care, he has many more years ahead of him. Due to his age and previous diet Patch has had to have a dental during his stay at the shelter and is now sporting a much more refreshing smile.
Patch is a mature gent who just loves the company of people, and would be best suited to a home where he will be a constant companion.
