Luca *On Trial in His New Home*

*LUCA IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Loveable Luca with the crazy ears is a healthy, happy puppy who was born on 16 April 2017. His mum is a now-desexed Husky cross while his father is a purebred Border Collie. He’s an entertaining, affectionate boy who’d love a home with a playful pooch if you were to be at work for most of the day as he enjoys having company.

Being a mix of two highly intelligent working breeds Luca is a clever pup who has mastered sit, drop, stay, come and will even shake paws! He knows his name well and has good recall. He’s also very food orientated (Schmackos rock!) which will help with any further training you’d like to do with him.

This gorgeous boy gets along well with his foster carers own dogs though can be a bit rough with the older little ones, so a similar sized dog in his forever home would suit him best. He’s ok with the household cats just wanting them to play with him too though they tend to avoid his foolish antics! And Luca is great with kids though school age would be the go as he does tend to jump up a bit when he’s super-excited and may accidentally bowl a toddler over.

As you can see in his video Luca loves doggie toys and is always up for a game of tug-o-war and being the bright boy he is we don’t reckon it would take long to teach Luca to fetch!

Luca also loves spending time indoors and enjoys a snuggle on the couch if he can get away with it! While in foster care he has gotten the hang of toilet-training, so we’d love to see this indoor / outdoor lifestyle continue in his forever home. He is also crate-trained and happily goes in there at bedtime or at any time during the day when he’s feeling a little sleepy or just needs some timeout.

Being a young pup Luca will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so he grows up to have lovely manners. Daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to play with will make Luca very happy indeed....and he'll be even happier once those silly ears of his decide if they wanna stay up or down!!!
