About Trevor
Trevor is a sweet and gentle boy that absolutely adores other dogs, attention and hanging inside and outside with his foster family. He hasn't shown to be an ex working dog but he is a typical kelpie and has herding skills and behaviours. But in no way is he aggressive.
He is in foster care with horses and chickens in a coop and has shown to be tolerant and friendly with those. But we haven't tested him in a free range zone with either.
He is obedient, fantastic indoors and outdoors and would do great in a home with another dog that wants to play and interact with him. He would also suit a home where he is an only dog that wants to keep him active and interact with him often. But we wouldn't suggest a home where he is in a home with people with long working hours.
He hasn't been tested with cats so we aren't sure what he would do. He is very friendly with all sorts of people and we would expect he would be fine with young kids due to how friendly and social he is with everyone around him. He is suitable for both rural fencing but would also suit 5ft or over suburban fencing.
He is moderately active for a kelpie so a home that wants to walk him once a day or take him out and about would suit him well. He loves being inside as well so a home that wants to snuggle with him at night would be good. He also loves a game of tug a war with humans or other dogs.
Trevor is located on the Central Coast and his adoption fee is $350. He is ready to go to his new home after Monday 4th September.
Adoption details
In the ENQUIRY SECTION please explain in LENGTH some basics about yourself/ your life/ your household and what type of life you can provide for one of our rescue animals.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
