About Rusty DL1737
Kelpies must hold the key to eternal youth, because they just never seem to age! We nearly fell over when we were told Rusty is 10 years old and we can assure you he is still young at heart.
Rusty is a very loving & intelligent dog with excellent house manners. He never chews furniture and is fully toilet trained. He enjoys keeping you company and will always happily sit with you, whether outside in the sun, or watching TV of an evening. He pays mind to any boundaries that you set for him, e.g. will sit & wait before going indoors and stop at rooms/areas that are out of bounds.
Like most dogs, Rusty enjoys going out for walks and loves a ride in the car; you will often find him sat patiently by the car, waiting for his next trip out. At the park he enjoys chasing around after other dogs and rounding them up with his working dog instincts. He gives a quick greeting to each dog before moving onto the next, and is happy to work his way around the boundary edge, sniffing about and reading (and writing!) the latest park news.
He is happy to go on his lead, though does need some practice not to pull. Rusty's recall is excellent and his awareness of where you are is also impressive. He now comes back from long distances with just a loud call and always looks around to check where you are. He adores treats and is always grateful for any offering, which especially helps in his training.
Rusty is suited to an owner without young kids. As Rusty is happiest around people, he can become vocal when left alone for too long, so best suits having someone home more often who can work on this with him. He hasn't been tested with cats.
We can't wait for Rusty to be settling in to his dream home! Please contact us by email today to apply...
