About Cooper ~ kelpie x puppy (adopted by carer)
My name is Cooper, I am a 9 week old Kelpie x boy and I really love cuddles!
I am a little more reserved than my sister Coco, but just as smart. And I can sit already, as well as use the dog door. I am getting pretty good with my house training too, as I like being with my humans. I am pretty good at letting you know there is someone at the door. I like to be praised for my good behaviour and I am a quick learner. I’d love to do more training with my forever family.
I have a sweet, careful personality. I can get a bit scared when you approach me too quickly. I get on with other dogs and wouldn't mind staying with my sister Coco in our furever home. Coco is also available for adoption.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for me. If you don't have another dog to keep me company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time. I need to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown.
As I am not yet desexed, I am only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because I'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when I’m approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet me, please email my foster mum Kate at kate.broekman07@gmail.com. I am in care at Mirrabooka, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle).
Cooper's adoption fee is $500 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Medical notes
Happy and healthy puppy.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
