About Duke
LOCATED IN MT. GAMBIER
Duke is a very handsome Great Dane X, with the sweetest personality. Duke is friendly and playful once he knows you. Duke is quite timid of people he doesn't know, but is quite different with his carers- he loves a good scratch and he will sit as soon as he knows his food or treats are coming!
Duke is looking for a home where he can feel secure- where he knows his humans are the leaders and are looking out for him. Duke is a little too interested in cats, and also small dogs, so he's looking for a home that ideally has no other pets.
We have worked out a behavioural program for Duke, to help with his timidity around strangers, and this is working very well! We expect that Duke will continue to improve in this area, and become more and more comfortable around strangers.
Duke would love a home where he is part of the family, he loves a good play or walk, and has a lot of affection to give his humans.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting a companion animal, please message us. You will need to complete an application form, which will be assessed along with any others that have come in at the same time. You can meet the pet before or after applying. In some cases more than one meeting may be required.
We also conduct a home check to make sure that things like fencing are suitable for the pet, and provide advice on helping the new pet settle in.
If your application is approved, the pet can go to your home on a two week trial once the adoption fee is paid.
If for any reason the trial is not successful, the adoption fee will be refunded less a $25 admin fee.
