About Primrose
Can be adopted from 07/09/2017
Hi my name is Primrose (Rosie) and I am part of The Hunger Games Litter. My siblings and I were listed for giveaway on Facebook with absolutely no vet work done - a tale seen all too often. The lovely ladies at OTC tried to offer the owner their last litter deal, or even just to take on the puppies to get our vet work done, but the owner just wouldn't listen. But as luck would have it, we somehow ended up safely in the hands of a rescue, rather than the hands of who knows where. It is so scary to think what would have happened to me if a rescue didn't step in. Especially considering the owner handed FIVE puppies over to one person, with no questions asked. Apart from being a little on the skinny side and full of worms, I am a happy and healthy puppy.
I am sweet, petite and such a treat!. I'm gentle, playful, confident and affectionate. My favourite game is to bounce around on the feather doona and play tug of war with my foster brother Freddy. Love people and young kids. I am pretty much toilet trained already and will be a breeze to train. I sleeps beautifully through the night and rarely barks. The only things I chew so far is pigs ears and Freddy's ears!
I love meeting new people and I am quite confident, which is always a good sign in a puppy. I've lived with other dogs and cats and get a long with everyone. Being young and beautiful, I just need an owner that will teach me all the right things. My owner must really research my breed mix and have a good understanding.
I am sleeping inside at night and I am doing very well with my potty training.
Whilst in foster care, I will learn basic commands such as sit, stay, wait and will be socialised to give me the best start at life.
Included in my adoption fee: - Vaccinations kept up to date while in care - Worm/tick/flea treatments kept up to date while in care - Starter pack of food - Desexing - Microchip implant and chip changed into your name - A small donation to OTC which helps keep them running! Adoption fees help cover the database, sanitation, transport and advertising fees to they can rescue more dogs.
Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home, or in a public place. If you have other animals they must be at the meet.
If at the meet, you and the dog get along- you have the option of either taking the dog on the spot (in exchange for the full adoption fee paid upfront, and contract signed)- or placing the dog on hold for up to 2 days without any holding fee applicable. When adoption begins you will be provided with 7 days' worth of food for the dog, as well as what brand and type of food it is, so that you may change their diet carefully and slowly, or purchase more, if needed.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold dogs for 3 days or longer, without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the dog, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters and so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit non refundable to avoid time-wasters, especially when it comes to puppies under 5 months of age. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the dog. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you pay a $100 holding fee so we can hold the dog for a week- the day you collect the dog you will sign and adoption contract, and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $50 is non-refundable.
During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic in your area and OTC will cover any treatment needed.
On commencement of the trial period, OTC will send you a copy of your signed contract, the vaccination cards, desexing certificate and microchip number implant details.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox.
