So here we have it, my adoption profile. My foster mum didn't think this time would come so soon, but I'm showing so much progress she feels it's time for me to try and find my forever home. I'm settling into my foster home so well that the longer I stay here, the more I think this will be my home forever, so the best thing for me is to find a family and continue my rehabilitation with them with the support of FFFR.

A lot of you may have seen when i first come into care. I was showing signs of abuse, and although I can't tell you what happened to me, my signs and tempremant showed my foster carer exactly what I have been through. When my carer came to save me, I hid in the corner of my previous owners backyard in a dirt patch... I was petrified. My carer sat with me and kept patting me & whispering in my ear "everything is going to be okay baby girl"... but what did these words mean I wondered? I knew I felt a sense of calmness and although I was still scared I put the remaining trust I had in humans to her, and my carer and her family have not gone back on their word.

For the first time in my life I've felt comfort, reassurance but most of all...love. I've grown so much now knowing not all humans are bad. I sleep inside (I'm toilet trained) I don't get yelled at, I no longer get abused...however I am still scared of certain things. If you walk behind me without softly calling my name, I will jump. If I hear loud noises for eg loud fast cars, I run and hide. In my foster home I'm living with 2 small children and I adore them. They have been taught that they cannot run fast around me or yell to loud. Of course their are times like in many homes I've heard some kiddie tantrums but my foster mum and dad know to reassure me if they see me in anyway feeling uneasy. I'm also living with a cat & I'm not bothered by him at all. I'm also living with 3 other dogs. Each day I'm taken out the back to have exposure and time with them. I'm a dog friendly girl, but being around my dog buddies that are very excited & with lots of energy is to much for me. Ideally I would love to have a cat or chilled out dog companion, but this is not a necessity as being on my own and lazing about on a daily basis I'm fine with also.

I'll be honest, right now while I'm still learning my new way of life...I'm not interested in going on walks, to dog parks or even car rides. Walking scares me due to the cars passing by, but in time I would love my new family to start introducing slow and short walks in the quiter time of day as I do need to keep my figure on point, but I don't want to be pushed as this will only set me back. Getting into a car is frightening, my carer has to pick me up and place me on the back seat, in which the whole time I drool and I shake, but again in time I think it's for my best interest to slowly learn that going into a car is a cool thing...my foster mumma told me I can get "air in my hair" which does sound like fun!
I am currently 51kgs, and although that sounds big I am still underweight for my breed, so with a good diet and helping me gain approx 5kgs to get me to my goal weight I'll be forever grateful...im a big girl with a big appetite, and I'm loving my new raw food diet that my foster family has me on, my teeth are looking brand new.

Although I have come along way, I still have a long way to go. If you cannot commit to helping me, please don't apply to adopt me. I'm not sure how long it will take for me to find my perfect family, but as long as it takes just means I'm waiting for the right one, the perfect one, the one who will be my last family yet my best family.
