About Max ~ Jack Russell Terrier X (on trial 4/12/2017)
Meet Max! Max is an approximately 2yr old Jack Russell cross. Max loves people and gets along great with dogs.
He is a very calm boy inside and loves to snuggle on the bed and have a head massage. Max is full of energy when outside.
Max has been to the beach but isn't too keen on the water. He knows his name, comes when called and can sit. He is still perfecting his toilet training and walking on the lead.
He currently shares the yard with 2 other small dogs and a miniature horse. He loves to wrestle with the dogs but is also content with his toys and just relaxing. He would love another compatible playmate but would also be fine playing by himself and his toys.
Max's yard has 5ft high fences which he can't jump though he does have springs for legs! He has more horses and cows on the other side but finds the chickens and rabbits a little bit too interesting!
His foster home has a 6yr old boy and 1yr old girl. He is very gentle around them and loves their attention.
He sleeps outside with the other dogs in a large kennel and has access to inside when someone is home.
The best home for him would be either a family or anyone willing to make him part of the family. He has a lot of love to give to the right people.
For more information or to meet Max, please contact Lauren on 0400 400 789 or email laurendare@hotmail.com. Max is in foster care 30 minutes north of Newcastle, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Max's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
