About Sable ~ Husky x ~ On Trial 14/9/17
Introducing Sable, a happy and sweet 3 year old Husky x girl. We are unsure of the other breeds in Sable's mix, possibly kelpie - whatever her breed mix she is an absolute sweetheart with a charming personality. Sable is medium in size - she has a fluffy rust-coloured coat and stunning brown eyes that look at you with love.
Sable is a people pooch - she adores people and would suit a single, couple or family with older kids who will welcome her as a valued member of their family and allow her inside to spend time with them. She has a relaxed nature and is very easy-going with meeting new people so she has the potential to adapt to many family environments.
Sable is a sensible and calm girl with lovely canine manners - she is content to spend time relaxing with you or joining you on a daily walk or outing. She gets excited for "walkies" and then settles in nicely once her initial excitement is over. She loves to be brushed and pampered and she will roll happily on the grass for a back scratch. She is active but not high energy so she doesn't need a huge yard to play in - she's not a fence jumper when she has company so fencing around 5 foot is suitable.
Sable is in foster care with many dogs in a boarding facility - she is OK spending time with a few of the medium sized male dogs but we think she is happiest in a single dog family where she is the focus of training and attention. She has previously lived with pocket pets however we would need to test her with any applicants cats or small pets to ensure a good match.
Sable is a delight to spend time with so if you'd like to find out more then please contact Jo on jo.payne.aus@hotmail.com (preferred) or 0427 695 104 (outside business hours). Sable is in foster care near Morisset, (NSW Central Coast) and is not available for long distance or interstate adoption.
Sable's adoption fee is $400 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
