About Ali ~ Boxer x ~ Puppy (On Trial 2/9/17)
Ali is a 12 week old, female, brown and white Boxer x puppy. Ali loves playing with her chew toys and chasing her foster sister around the yard. She is extremely inquisitive and loves exploring. She has an outgoing, independent personality and would love a family who could take her for walks and make her a part of their activities.
Ali loves being with the family, whether that be laying on her bean bag watching TV, watching patiently as meals are prepared or snuggling on your lap for cuddles and a tummy tickle.
Ali is a very healthy puppy who has been raised in a home environment and developing toilet training skills. Ali has been very well socialised with other puppies and adult dogs and gets along well with them all. She has also met young children and a couple of cats and is very friendly and affectionate with them.
Ali will grow up to be a large dog. She is a very obedient, fast learner and would love for her new family to take her to puppy preschool so she can learn even more. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Her ideal new family will be able to spend lots of time with her teaching her new things, and understand the needs of a puppy. Ali’s new family would preferably have another dog as she thoroughly enjoys doggy company, especially if her family work. Despite Ali’s independence she still loves to know that her family is there to give her cuddles, teach her new things and provide reassurance in new situations.
Ali needs to be welcome inside when people are home. She currently sleeps alongside her foster sister in the garage/laundry with access to the backyard through a doggy door. You need good fencing with no small gaps.
As Ali is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Ali, please contact her foster carer Lauren on 0421 234 528 or email laurensanders16@outlook.com. Ali is in foster care in East Maitland, NSW.
Ali's adoption fee is $500 and it includes her desexing, vaccinisations, treatments for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
