About Blue *Only $99*
Blue
Male Australian Cattle Dog
DOB: 03/02/2016
Hi my name is Blue, I was saved from The pound where my owners left me to die, luckily for me OTC gave me a second chance at life.
I am full of energy. My favourite game is chasing the ball (I doesn't always bring it back though!). I loves being the centre of attention and I am very affectionate. I am great with kids and I just adore them. Kids are the best!
I like to be your main man; please don't try to make me live with other dogs or small animals. I get very tense quickly around other animals and I don't want you to see me angry, when I have so much love I could be showing you instead. If I'm the sole pet at the house I will be calm, loving and loyal. I don't remember my puppyhood but my carers think maybe I got taken from mum way too young and missed out on the important social skills she could have taught me. I'm not a dog that can go to dog parks or play dates with other dogs, but I sure do love my walks! Maybe you could walk with me in areas that don't have a ton of dogs, or visit the fenced dog parks on 'off-peak' times so I can still run and explore without the pressure of defending myself from other animals?
I sit and wait for food and I will also sit and wait to come inside or go outside. I am still learning to not pull on a lead and we are working on recall, but I am a very smart guy and a fast learner. I am your typical cattle dog that needs a lot of stimulants to keep me busy and active.

Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home, or in a public place. If you have other animals they must be at the meet.
If at the meet, you and the dog get along- you have the option of either taking the dog on the spot (in exchange for the full adoption fee paid upfront, and contract signed)- or placing the dog on hold for up to 2 days without any holding fee applicable. When adoption begins you will be provided with 7 days' worth of food for the dog, as well as what brand and type of food it is, so that you may change their diet carefully and slowly, or purchase more, if needed.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold dogs for 3 days or longer, without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the dog, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters and so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit non refundable to avoid time-wasters, especially when it comes to puppies under 5 months of age. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the dog. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you pay a $100 holding fee so we can hold the dog for a week- the day you collect the dog you will sign and adoption contract, and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $50 is non-refundable.
During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic in your area and OTC will cover any treatment needed.
On commencement of the trial period, OTC will send you a copy of your signed contract, the vaccination cards, desexing certificate and microchip number implant details.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox.
