AJ

Say hello to AJ, the cuddliest, smartest, most friendly dog you'll ever meet! At only 14 months of age, AJ has plenty of living and loving to do, and can't wait to find his forever family.

AJ is a very smart boy. He already knows sit, drop, to wait for his dinner and 'on your mat'. He's also toilet trained and sleeps quietly in his crate each night. He is quickly learning how to walk nicely on the lead but still needs help with this, as he loves loves loves to sniff everything. He would absolutely excel at doggy obedience and agility. He is very food motivated and eager to learn, and could truly be taught anything by the right person.

AJ is incredibly affectionate. He loves people, and will snuggle anyone at any opportunity. He especially loves to lay across your lap, and will gently nudge your hand to remind you to continue with the pats. He is also fantastic with all dogs, great and small, although may play a bit rough for some. He does not love the vacuum cleaner!

Being a kelpie, AJ is quite active and will need to go to a home who are committed to exercising his body and mind each and every day. He currently has a big walk each day, with some obedience training incorporated into it, to provide additional mental stimulation. On top of this, he plays with his doggy sibling throughout the day, and enjoys playing with toys. That being said, he is able to chill out when nothing is happening, and will happily sleep at your feet. He would suit a home with another playful dog for company, as he doesn't cope well when left on his own. He has not been tested with children or cats.

AJ is truly a special dog who will be greatly missed by his foster family. In the right hands, he will blossom in to an exceptional dog.
