About Oprah
Oprah is a 5 month old Poodle X (my guess is Beagle) mix who is looking for her new forever home.
She loves sleeping on the bed and following you around, watching your every move.
She is good with other small dogs. She is good with cats, though still needs to be discouraged from chasing them, thinking they are playing. Oprah is excellent with kids of all ages. She does not have a nasty bone in her body.
She does have some separation anxiety and so would prefer someone home a fair bit of the time, but she also coming to grips that the world isn't going to end because you have had to go out for a short time and calms down after an initial cry.
She will also need some extra patience with toilet training, she is going REALLY well here but I am making an effort to take her out regularly and she is responding really well to the command wee-wee. and goes out to toilet straight away very happily. She loves the outside and sniffs around and has a little dig quite happily for hours but likes to come back inside to sleep by your side.
Oprah needs a secure yard to keep her safe while outside, if she gets out she is very cheeky and doesn't just come back when you call her. Her new owner may need to be prepared for regular grooming sessions every 8 weeks, but we aren't sure yet as her hair is growing back fairly slowly. She also has a little quirk where her ears flip inside out occasionally,
Ideally she would be suited to an older couple who are retired and can dote on her and have the grandkids around to play with occasionally.
She comes microchipped, vaccinated, desexed, flea and worm treated. If you have that exceptional home that can cater to her needs and are looking for an amazing, dog loyal, gentle little Girl, then please email or text me telling us what you have to offer her - the more info the better!
You must own your own home or have written permission from a landlord prior to application.
Oprah is located in Belmont, Lake Macquarie.
