About George
Hi my name is George (or Jawgeous as my foster brother calls me) and my foster mother says I am a a beautiful big clumsy Black Labrador x and I am looking for my forever home.
I have had a rough time recently and got a bit beaten up by a couple of dogs but I haven't let that get me down at all and I am still really trusting. I do have a few new scars but I think they make me quite dashing.
I am living with my two teenage foster human brothers and my furry foster sister who doesn't really like me very much and nips me on my feet - but I just ignore her and keep trying to be friends anyway. I believe my persistence is wearing down her resistance 😉
I love cuddles and am really affectionate but I mostly just want a family to hang out with and love.
I am pretty big but I try really hard to be gentle - I heard my foster mum say I was a gentle giant and I liked that a lot.
I enjoy being inside or out am quite happy just chilling out and playing tug of war in the back yard. I sometimes chase the ball but I am not big on bringing it back yet.
I like my food but I am a polite eater and I am really chilled around the food bowl.
If you think I would be great as the newest member of your family and you have a lot of love to give then I would really enjoy the chance of meeting you and seeing if we would be a perfect fit.

If you should chose to adopt a dog from SEQ K9 Rescue..
You will be asked to complete an adoption application.
Completing this form helps us to determine if the dog is suited to your circumstances. Some dogs have special needs so we are looking for the perfect forever home for all of our dogs needs.
After you have completed and returned the adoption application we decide if you are a good match for the dog you are applying for. Sometimes we may recommend another dog we have in our care.
Next we will arrange for your to meet the dog/puppy.
We ask that bring along your family and any other animals you have in your household. A yard check (or yard photos) will be checked and only then will approval be considered.
Please remember sometimes there are several applications for the same dog so this process may take up to a week.
The adoption fee must be paid before any of our animals are released from our care.
We also offer a 2 week trial period - if you have any issues with your chosen dog/puppy you must contact SEQ K9 Rescue via text immediately.
If for any reason the dog needs to be returned to, the adoption fee minus a $50 non refundable deposit will be refunded. Your refund will be returned via bank transfer within 10 working days.
If the pet is returned after the trial period generally no refund will be made.
Interstate adoptions may be requested to supply additional information and photographs of the proposed environment for the animal. Interstate adopter must pay transport costs in addition to the adoption fee.
If an animal is to returned from an interstate adoption, the adopter is to pay all costs to return the animal to SEQ K9 Rescue in Brisbane..
