About Mickey
Mickey is a pretty typical Kelpie. He loves his people and be with them. He loves to be loved and love - very affectionate. He can be a bit timid at times but he just wants to please his people. He doesn't know much yet but he is learning fast to go and stay in his bed and sit and wait for his food. He seems to be house trained as far as we can see. When it comes to new dogs he seems a bit dominant initially however he is actually very submissive. He definitely needs to be allowed to be with people. Not sure how he'll go with smaller animals as we don't have any. He doesn't pull on the lead but loves going for a stroll. He doesn't have any recall yet. He's a very sweety dog, very excited to meet new people and a perfect companion. 🙂
Adoption details
If you should chose to adopt a dog from SEQ K9 Rescue..
You will be asked to complete an adoption application.
Completing this form helps us to determine if the dog is suited to your circumstances. Some dogs have special needs so we are looking for the perfect forever home for all of our dogs needs.
After you have completed and returned the adoption application we decide if you are a good match for the dog you are applying for. Sometimes we may recommend another dog we have in our care.
Next we will arrange for your to meet the dog/puppy.
We ask that bring along your family and any other animals you have in your household. A yard check (or yard photos) will be checked and only then will approval be considered.
Please remember sometimes there are several applications for the same dog so this process may take up to a week.
The adoption fee must be paid before any of our animals are released from our care.
We also offer a 2 week trial period - if you have any issues with your chosen dog/puppy you must contact SEQ K9 Rescue via text immediately.
If for any reason the dog needs to be returned to, the adoption fee minus a $50 non refundable deposit will be refunded. Your refund will be returned via bank transfer within 10 working days.
If the pet is returned after the trial period generally no refund will be made.
Interstate adoptions may be requested to supply additional information and photographs of the proposed environment for the animal. Interstate adopter must pay transport costs in addition to the adoption fee.
If an animal is to returned from an interstate adoption, the adopter is to pay all costs to return the animal to SEQ K9 Rescue in Brisbane..
