About Barney ~ Kelpie x Border Collie (on trial 17/1/18)
Hi, this is Barney. He is a 9 month old Kelpie X Border Collie. Barney is an energetic and happy boy who loves being around his foster parents enjoying many snuggles a day.
Barney is playful and very dog friendly as he currently lives with a larger cattle dog. He would be suited to a family with another playful dog however, this is not a necessity. Barney has learnt quickly to walk on the lead which he thoroughly enjoys.
He currently spends the daytime outside but he is definitely an inside dog who loves a comfortable and warm lounge or bed to make him feel safe.
We believe that due to his size and loving nature he would be great with kids.
If you are looking for a small-medium dog that loves to play outside with you but also want a companion to cuddle with on the lounge, Barney is the boy for you!
For more information or to meet Barney, please contact his foster parents by email james_sam87@outlook.com. Barney is in foster care in Newcastle area, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Barney's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
