About Luna
Little Luna is a really gentle, happy, friendly little character. She loves, loves, loves lap cuddles and belly scratches, and is really a devoted little companion dog. She is really happy to play with the dogs too, but does find the big ones a bit boisterous, as she is quite small in stature (weighing about 10 kg). As a result she will often choose to play with the puppies, who really enjoy her company.
Luna was impounded by the local council, and her owners did not claim her, so we are not sure if they might have left town. In any case we know that coming from the Tennant Creek town camps she will have been well socialised to all ages of people and dogs, and used to going around with her owner off lead. We love little Luna and know that she will be a great loyal little mate for some lucky person.
Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Luna's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide. She is currently in foster care in Elliott community.
Medical notes
Luna is healthy but a bit solid in the body and on a diet aiming to lose a little weight and regain a nice slim waist.
Adoption details
We request that prospective adopters email us with an initial enquiry. We will forward an application form. On receipt of the application form, we will make phone contact to discuss the adoption. We try hard to match the dog to the person, ultimately looking for the best fit for the dog. Shipping costs are included in the adoption fee.
