About Trinity
This lovely lady has a very kind an sweet personality. From the first moment she arrived, she greeted the other rescue dogs politely and made friends with them all. She is very gentle and tolerant with the puppies too. She is road-tested with people of all ages and is just one of those bomb proof dogs. We find her to be very loyal and loving, often coming up and putting her beautiful head in a lap to get stroked. She loves to hop on the couch and curl up next to us and get a cuddle too. Because of her attentiveness, calmness, and natural intelligence she is extremely easy to train and would excel at obedience work. We think she would really enjoy it too.
Trinny hails from Pitchinjarra country in the northern reaches of South Australia. She met with and accident there and sustained a compound fracture of a hind leg. Unfortunately she had to live with this for 3 weeks before a relieving nurse in the region was able to make contact with us and arrange to get her to us in Tennant Creek. Many people have helped Trinny on her journey to her new life, and all of them rave about her gorgeous personality and presence. Our local vet had to remove her leg, but reassured us that she will manage just fine without it, since she is a strong dog with a lean build. We can already see that she is delighted to be pain free and able to run and play with the other dogs.
Trinny would do fantastically with another friendly playful dog. She would also be a great calm and reliable family dog.
Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Trinny's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide. She is currently in foster care in Elliott community.
Medical notes
Trinity had her badly damaged right leg amputated 2 weeks ago. Her surgery and recovery has been uncomplicated. She is running and playing now just like the other dogs, and will be able to live a normal life.
