On Hold
Well hello there, my name is Hazel,
I am a super sweet girl with lots of energy to burn so will need not only a strong handler but someone who is highly active. You see I am still a young pup and due to my breed I will need lots of physical activity and mental stimulation.
The Adoption Centre team have seen a huge improvement in my behaviour when meeting new dogs. Although I can still get a little bit excited and boisterous I am much calmer. I am walking much better on a lead and will look back to my handler for praise and treat rewards when I am doing a good job.
I need to go to someone who is willing to enrol me in behaviour training so I can continue to work on my doggie manners.
Some activities that I love are walking, running, playing tug of war and throwing my special Kong ball around. I also adore cuddles with the staff and volunteers here at Lort Smith.
It would be best for me to go to a home with no small animals as I tend to want to chase them and may give them a bit of a scare.
I will be a foster with a view to adopt while I am on some calming medication.
Please come and say hi - I'd love to meet you!
Currently on calming medication.
