About Benson ~ Pugalier (On trial 3/9/2017)
Benson is a 2 year old male Pug x Cavalier "Pugalier" who wants to be a big lapdog. He is always excited to see you and thrives on pats and cuddles.
Benson is an inside dog who needs to be allowed inside all day and to sleep inside. He would be more suited to a home that has another dog to play with. Benson is very dog friendly especially if the dog is smaller than himself.
Benson is great with children of all ages wanting to be with them and cuddling with them on the lounge. He will need a human companion or companions who are home often and a variety of sturdy dog toys to keep him stimulated so that he doesn't fall back on boredom behaviours such as barking or digging.
Benson has some manners already in place. He doesn't jump on you and can sit on demand. He is toilet trained and would benefit from someone willing to put in some more time with his training.
Benson is in foster care in Maryland, NSW (Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate. For more information or to meet Benson, please contact Jaime by email jaihol@bigpond.com or on 0410 491 882, leaving a message with a name and contact details.
Benson's adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
