My name is Cherry.
I am a Ridgeback X and I am about 18 months old - according to vet lady. But I'm not sure if I trust her because I went in for a "Check up" the other day and came out with snitches on my tummy and the Cone Of Shame on my head.
I have been with my Renta Family for almost 2 weeks and apart from the trick with the vets, my foster parents reckon I am doing heaps better.
So much infact that I have discovered that their bed and their lounge is SOOOOOO comfortable. I managed to sneak my way onto them as soon as the front door closes.
I have made really good friends with my foster brother - and he lets me kick his butt when we play tug-of-war. Ive also got a foster cat sibling, however we just ignore each other. I have made heaps of friends - 2 legged and furry - when I have gone to the dog park. I also love little hoomans provided they are gentle and dont scare me. I am toilet trained and I love shnuggles on the couch. I can walk
pretty good on a lead, however I haven't had a lot of obedience training. My Renta parents are trying to get me started, however I am a bit nervous still.
I love food and I am happy to share my bowl with someone else and I will let you take my bone to have a bite as well 😛
I love going for rides in the car and can jump quite easily into the back of a Landcruiser. The longer the ride, the better. Road trips are the best things ever.
I am very curious about what is on top of table but am slowly learning that it's not ok to put my paws up and take what i want. (I usually run away with it to my bed)
I love being with you, however I am also happy being left alone during the day where I can doze in a sunny spot so long as i have things to entertain me. I will be super happy to see you when you get home. I am really enjoying staying with my Renta Family, however I cant wait until I can finally find a home that will always be mine.

Completing this application form does not place you under any obligation to adopt.
Safe Haven Animal Rescue Inc have a 10 day trial/settling period, if for any reason the pet needs to be returned, we will happily take them back into our care once a foster home is found and the adoption fee minus $50 (admin fee) will be returned via bank transfer within 5 working days. If the pet is returned after the trial period there will be no refund made.
Harvey Dog Training supports SHARI and has kindly offered to provide our adopted animals 30% off training/obedience classes. If you are keen to enrol your new puppy/dog please mention this in your email to us!
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
2. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
3. The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 2 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
4. 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from foster carer.
5. Adoption is finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email.
