About Lilly *On Trial in Her New Home*
*LILLY IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HER NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Hi everyone! Yes - I know I am beautiful (and have different coloured eyes - how special is that!)
Sadly, I have had a rough 12 months or so due to no fault of my own and now I am really looking forward to a lovely new home with lots of cuddles, a comfy and warm bed, a daily run and a fluffy stuffed toy to play with.
I am a very good girl in the house and sleep inside in my bed every night (I am crate-trained though sometimes I will try to sneak into bed with you ... I don't take up much room or snore!). I adore going for a run every day and don't mind being on a lead (but a run off-lead in an enclosed safe place just so I can do whippetty things is REALLY fun and I come straight back to you when you call me!). I also sit nicely if I am offered a treat!
I have always been with other dogs and don't mind them at all (love a tug of war game with a stuffed toy .... there may be a bit of a mess afterwards though!), but I am also quite happy to be an only fur-child as long as I have human company most of the time.
Although I am an older girl, I still think and act as if I am years younger and the vet has checked me over and said I am fit and well. The great thing is ..... I am definitely over all that silly puppy nonsense!
The car is good fun and I curl up and go to sleep after a quick look out the window. Sun-baking is another favourite hobby of mine, as is playing ball or chasey. My all-time favourite thing is to cuddle up next to you or on your lap while we watch tv and have snuggles (and if there should happen to be a few snacks such as cheese or chicken necks involved I will happily help you out with them!).
I have had lived with cats in my past and if we are introduced nicely I am fine with them and like playing! And kids are great as long as they are around 8 or older (as a young human accidentally hurt me when I was growing up and they make me a bit nervous ...). I tend to get worried before and during a storm but if I snuggle close to you or pop in my crate for security I know I will survive……just!
I have a beautiful nature and am very affectionate and cuddly. I need to be an inside dog, particularly at night, as I am only small and don't have much fat on me (it's a Whippet thing - we are the supermodels of the dog world!) I also need to be in a house that has good fences as Whippets quite like following interesting smells!
Everyone who meets me falls in love with me ... just think how jealous everyone would be if I lived with YOU!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
