Hi my name is Silas
I'm an adventurous little dude who loves playing with my foster family's dog Axel. Even though he's twice my age and size I can play just as good and sometimes he's tired before I even am! Because I'm social and have spent most of my life with other dogs, I'd prefer to go to a family that has another animal.
I'm quiet and a little bit shy when I meet someone new but it doesn't take me long to become comfortable and then all I want is kisses and cuddles. My foster family says I'm super well behaved as I am toilet trained and don't display any signs of separation anxiety. I sleep all through the night without a problem!
Because of my rough start in life I need someone who is going to give me all the love and attention I deserve. However, my foster family jokes that I'm a bit of a teenager who needs "me time" every now and again after a big cuddle, so don't be offended if I jump off your lap and go play by myself for a while. Feel free to chuck me a bone because they're my favourite thing to eat!
I have a huge heart and just want to feel safe & secure with my new family.
Adoption details
If you should chose to adopt a dog from SEQ K9 Rescue..
You will be asked to complete an adoption application.
Completing this form helps us to determine if the dog is suited to your circumstances. Some dogs have special needs so we are looking for the perfect forever home for all of our dogs needs.
After you have completed and returned the adoption application we decide if you are a good match for the dog you are applying for. Sometimes we may recommend another dog we have in our care.
Next we will arrange for your to meet the dog/puppy.
We ask that bring along your family and any other animals you have in your household. A yard check (or yard photos) will be checked and only then will approval be considered.
Please remember sometimes there are several applications for the same dog so this process may take up to a week.
The adoption fee must be paid before any of our animals are released from our care.
We also offer a 2 week trial period - if you have any issues with your chosen dog/puppy you must contact SEQ K9 Rescue via text immediately.
If for any reason the dog needs to be returned to, the adoption fee minus a $50 non refundable deposit will be refunded. Your refund will be returned via bank transfer within 10 working days.
If the pet is returned after the trial period generally no refund will be made.
Interstate adoptions may be requested to supply additional information and photographs of the proposed environment for the animal. Interstate adopter must pay transport costs in addition to the adoption fee.
If an animal is to returned from an interstate adoption, the adopter is to pay all costs to return the animal to SEQ K9 Rescue in Brisbane..
