Ripley

Ripley is a friendly 3 ½ year old Merle Great Dane who loves to be inside curled up on his bed with his big brown blanket or sunbaking under the window where he keeps warm. He is a gentle soul who gets on well with other dogs and children. He is untested with cats but seems to ignore them on his walks but he does seem interested in birds but unsure how he would interact with them.

He enjoys his walks and is currently learning some new manners such as sitting before crossing the road, sitting before leaving the house and sitting to have his lead placed on. Due to having such long legs he needs to be reminded so slow down on occasions so he is still also learning to walk with manners, however he doesn’t pull as such. Ripley is also a good companion if you like to have a jog but he will be happy to get home to rest afterwards.

Meal times can be slow as Ripley is not a food orientated dog and will take his time to eat his meals. He is also currently learning word and visual signals before eating his meals to which he is starting to now do automatically without being asked.

Ripley is toilet trained and should he ever need to go to the bathroom he will come and find you, he will generally look at you and then walk back to the door and give the door a scratch so that you come and let him out.
