About Dundee - I don't bark or Dig
HI……. my name is Dundee (AKA - Mick Dundee) and I like warm hugs and life!!. I’m eager to find my forever home as I’m ready for cuddles, loyalty, lots of play and complete devotion to a family or individual. I DONT bark, I DONT dig......
I am a medium sized hound – 22kgs, 10 months old, vaccinated, spayed and micro chipped. I come with basic commands mastered such as sit, drop, shake and stay and consider myself intelligent, and food orientated which makes training easy. I am house and crate trained and improving every day at walking nicely at heel on leash. I’m happy outside, however I love being around people and I would ideally suit a home where someone is at home part of the day and where I can have the use of both internal and external areas. I am dog and people friendly but can get a tad bored without my humans and until I figure out how to channel surf or shop on-line it would be beneficial to provide me with entertainment in the form of stuffed Kongs and puzzle/chew toys to keep me occupied! Did I mention I looove food!! So much so that I have been known to sneak into the kitchen and steel leftovers or any other tempting morsel left within my reach.
My time in the foster system has been beneficial in many aspects. Firstly I adore the affection I get from the small 3.5 year old human that lives in the house and the entertainment value of a big old Great/Dane Bull Mastiff X. Although I mind my manners around humans very well I can be a bit over bearing to my canine companion as he’s a bit of an old guy and I’m just a young whipper snapper.
I will suit an active person/family who wants an outgoing and friendly companion. Im keen as mustard to get out and stretch my legs and I will make a fantastic companion for anyone who likes to hit the pavement for a run or any other adventurous personality types. I require owners who will be fair and consistent and ready to commit and continue the training I need to solidify my skills as long term behaviors.
If you think you could offer me the life and home described above –please fill in an application at www.startingoverdogrescue.org.au
Medical notes
One of my back paws was injured a few months ago (some fractured toes) but I was provided with treatment including a cast.
I need to have a few further weeks of limited exercise but once complete I will make a fantastic companion for anyone who likes to hit the pavement for a run or other adventurous personality types.
