About Ally
Ally is a 2 and a half year old (approx.) black and tan kelpie. She is quite small in size for a kelpie but she is so positive about life that she will surely brighten anyone's day!! Ally is fabulous with kids (currently in foster care with a 3 and 5 year old human foster sibling).
Ally has rather quirky behavior at times inside the house- she is always very cautious when walking over floor boards or past the laundry when the washing machine is going- but she is so keen to be beside her human companions that she 'braves these scary situations'!!!
She is able to sit and shake on command and is toilet trained. She currently lives with 2 foster canine brothers. Ally has obvious herding instinct and will try encourage the dogs to move so she can follow them around the house- for this reason Ally would suit another confident canine companion (she may upset anxious/ elderly dogs with her herding tendencies). Ally is not suited to boisterous big young dogs as these make her anxious. Ally would also be happy in a home as an only dog as she loves company of people more than dog company! As Ally is a working dog breed she will require daily exercise to keep her content as well as activities to keep her mind active.
Ally is a very easy, minimal fuss dog to look after. She is really just content to be with her carer. But she is also happy to be outside by herself.

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1. You see a dog you like.
2. Fill in our online adoption form by clicking here or on our website. Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form. This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.
http://farmdogz.com.au/adoption-application-form/
3. If your are successful, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a meet and greet at your home and conduct a yard check at the same time.
4. Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2 week trial period immediately. Adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
During the 2 week trial period, should you decide that this dog is not for you, you are welcome to return the dog (the more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available) and your payment will be retunded to you in full, within 3 business days of the return of the dog.
**PLEASE NOTE: WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US BEFORE FILLING IN OUR ONLINE ADOPTION FORM**.
We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.
