About Darling
This oh so sweet girl Darling is like so many other dogs who arrive in rescue - unclaimed in a country pound and destined for a bullet, no story to tell (or at least, not in a language we can speak!) And like so many others, she was saved by a single generous person putting their hand up to foster her.
Darling may have an unknown past but with your help we can give her a wonderful future. She is a very loving girl with beautiful house manners who knows basic commands and will always sit and wait for her dinner. Darling is living with a working family so she is fine to be left home alone, as long as she gets daily exercise and is allowed to come inside and spend lots of time with you when you're at home. She hadn't really been on a lead before coming into care but with patience and persistence from her foster family, she is developing her lead walking manners very well (though her new family will need to be comfortable walking a dog who is strong on lead).
Darling is the perfect dog for someone who doesn't want to have to spread their love around - meaning she needs to be the only animal in your home! She is not dog social (though is currently attending training and is building her doggy manners every day) so will need a new family who is happy to walk her in quiet locations and understands that unfortunately, dog parks and dog beaches are out. She is not a fan of cats and cannot live with livestock or other small animals like chooks or rabbits - she has to be your one and only, the apple of your eye! Darling would, however, we fine in a home with kids as long as you understand that in her excitement she could easily knock over a youngster.
Darling is a great size, not too big or too small. She's a lovely mix of bull terrier and staffy, with just a bit of a roman nose! She could be a great tradies dog too.
If you think this lovely lass is all you have been looking for and you would love to share some adventures, give us a call today!
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
