About Bonnie & Sasha ~ 10yo Labrador (on trial 24/9/17)
Hello there! We are Bonnie and Sasha, 10 year old Purebred Labrador girls. We were adopted but unfortunately thanks to their cat being very dominant we are back with our foster family and are looking for our forever home.
Don’t let our age fool you; we act like puppies most of the time. We are the most loving, caring, kind and loyal girls with beautiful natures. We will not say no to a cuddle or two, free of course! All we ever want is affection and love. Are you the kind of family to give us our forever home?
Bonnie - loves playing and rumbling with our other foster dog Jasper. She has this cute waddle when she wags her tail, which is adorable. She enjoys sitting beside you getting pats on the head and hanging out no matter what you are doing. She is very calm and placid.
Sasha - loves sitting or lying down around you, enjoys lying on the couch or outside in the sun, stealing toys from Bonnie, she also loves playing and rumbling with our other foster dog Jasper. She is very friendly and affectionate.
They really enjoy their daily walks. They are both inside dogs sleeping on their beds in the lounge room; they will let you know when they need to go to the toilet.
Their general health is good. Both have cataracts and slight arthritis which does not affect their day to day life – both are on daily arthritis tablets. They are not suited for a home with cats or stairs as it would be too much for them.
Bonnie and Sasha know basic commands such as: sit, don’t touch, stay, off, etc. They are very friendly and happy girls and are great with children. Because of their age they do not jump or dig, very rarely back only to let you know someone is at the door.
Bonnie and Sasha cannot be separated as the have been together all their lives.
If you are looking for a pair of adorable Labradors for companionship, with a lot of character and charm then Bonnie and Sasha would love to share a new life with you as their forever family!
For more information or to meet Bonnie and Sasha, please contact their foster mum Barbara by emailing johnnolan64@hotmail.com or on 0422 822 169. Bonnie and Sasha are located in Singleton, NSW (west of Newcastle) and are not available for adoption interstate.
Bonnie and Sasha's adoption fee is only $200 for the pair of them and they are desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
