Watch out! It’s Super-Dog!
Kogan is an all round great dog who will be a wonderful addition to a family. He can be shy at first but once he settles in he becomes the most loyal and loving companion that you can ask for. Kogan gets a waggy tail and big smile on his face when he is happy, and if you get him excited this turns into dancing on his back legs as well. He loves to be with his people and has learnt that cuddle time on the lounge is pretty awesome. Kogan also loves belly rubs and getting pats. He is generally a calm dog who is more than happy to sit by your feet or next to you and his beautiful personality is guaranteed to make you smile.
During his time in care, Kogan has been very well socialised with a range of dogs. He absolutely loves going for walk and gets all excited. At the dog park he runs and runs and runs! Kogan is great with all the other dogs at the park and enjoys meeting new doggie friends there. He may be on the small side but Kogan does needs to be taken on a daily walk to keep him healthy and happy throughout his life.
Kogan is a well mannered and easy going dog. He can sit for a treat and is a dream to walk on lead even with other dogs around. Kogan is good off lead at the dog park and sticks around his carer but would benefit from some further recall training to ensure he comes more reliably. He came into care not toilet trained and has since made a lot of progress but this will most likely need to be reinforced in his new home. Kogan is crate trained and sleeps throughout the night.
We are looking for a home where Kogan will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities. He will require a home with another friendly dog and/or where someone is home more often than not to give him the attention that he deserves. Kogan will require time to settle into his new home and would definitely benefit from a doggy friend to show him the ropes. He would do best in a home which is on the quieter side and where he will be allowed inside to be with the family. Kogan would also need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night.
