*FOSTER WITH THE VIEW TO ADOPT*

Hi there, my name is Ziggy and I'm currently searching for a new home.

I was surrendered to Lort Smith when my carers' could no longer look after me. The Lort Smith team have done a lot of work with me, mostly helping me build my confidence.

I can be a bit nervous when I'm being touched around my body, maybe because I'm a bit protective of my luscious locks, but with plenty of positive reinforcement, I am learning that being touched isn't such a bad thing after all.

I'm currently on some anxiety medication to help my nerves but with ongoing training and positive ongoing socialisation to build my confidence, the medication should only be a temporary thing. The staff would be more than happy to explain this further.

I love my regular outside strolls and I don't mind sharing company with other dogs, however I do have the tendency to chase cats, it is probably best that I don't share a household with a feline friend.

I can be a bit unsure of new people so I'm looking for carers with lots of patience and a willingness to commit to ongoing confidence building and socialisation.
