About Gigi *On Trial in Her New Home*
*GIGI IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HER NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Meet gorgeous Gigi, she’s a friendly, young ‘Hairy Maclary’ who puts 110% enthusiasm into everything she does, from greeting her beloved humans to playing in the yard! She’s looking for a fun-loving forever home who will give her the attention she deserves; will it be with you?
Recently rescued from Robinvale Pound, where she’d ended up through no fault of her own, Gigi is an affectionate dog without being licky or in your face. She is in foster care with a young pup and they love to rumble and play with their toys before curling up together for a well-earned nap, so a home with another playful dog would be a must if you were to be away at work for most of the day.
Delightful Gigi is great around dogs of all shapes and sizes and has been ok when meeting a cat though we’re not sure how she’d go living with one. She adores children though school aged children would suit her best as she does jump up when excited, but that may be due to her copying the puppy she’s in care with, so her foster carer is working on the ‘down’ command.

This clever girl knows ‘sit’ and ‘shake’ and is getting the hang of the name we gave her. She is also toilet-trained and has taught herself to use a doggie door and loves spending time inside where she’ll lie quietly on her bed while you watch tv, or she’ll happily follow you around as you go about your business. Gigi sleeps in the laundry at night with her puppy buddy and you don’t hear a peep out of them, in fact Gigi rarely barks only doing so for a reason making her a good watchdog. Being from a rural area we’re not sure if she’d spent much time on a lead and although she doesn’t pull and walks beside you enjoying her daily outings she can get a bit freaked out by new sounds and sights so patience is the key while she gets used to things.
Coming from a pound we’re not sure what breeds make up Gigi, so after much discussion and perusing of the internet we decided we could see both Schnauzer and Staffy in her - whatever she really is though it makes for a perfect combination! She’s one of those dogs we’d love to have DNA tested :)

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
