Jasper ~ Labrador x Kelpie (On Trial 10/10/17)

Meet Jasper, a beautiful, energetic 14 month old Golden Labrador x Kelpie boy who is looking for a fun, active home to call his own.

Jasper loves all people – men, women and children and is a bundle of energy. He loves a good game of soccer and tug-o-war and is also mastering the game of fetch. He will need daily walks and play time to keep him happy and healthy. Jasper also loves a food, pat and a cuddle and when he’s not walking or playing just loves to sit and watch the world go by; laze around in the sun or follow his carer around to see what she is up to.

Jasper travels really well in a car and enjoys going for rides and exploring new areas. He understands basic commands like sit, wait, stay, drop, leave it, shake, and don’t touch. He requires more recall training so would be best with someone who is willing to continue his training. He is a very fast learner though so training him should be relatively easy.

Jasper can get excited around other dogs when walking, if he sees one but he quickly calms down He also tends to jump up in his excitement to see people but is being taught not to. He is not a nuisance barker and does not bark when other dogs bark.

Jasper currently sleeps inside on his cosy bed in the lounge room, he is toilet trained. Jasper will grow to be a medium sized dog. Training classes are recommended to give your new family member the best start in life.

Jasper will be very happy to have an older dog as a teacher, companion and playmate as he needs to be occupied during the day if family work or at school.

Jasper would be best suited to an active family with school age children who will continue his training and give him daily walks to release his energy. He will require a moderate to large yard with 5-6ft fences due to his size and energy.
