Here is a little dog with a lot of go!
Tekno has a bubbly personality and likes to have plenty of fun in life. Once he has been introduced to you he loves people and bounces up and down in excitement. Tekno has a cute and cheeky character that you can’t help but smile and laugh at. He enjoys playing with you and his toys, particularly his little ball. Tekno is a fan of zoomies and running around the yard. When it’s time for a sleep he enjoys being in your lap or snuggled up against you on the lounge.
During his time in care, Tekno has been well socialised with a range of dogs. He gets along great with all the dogs he meets and best with those that will match his energy levels and play with him but are not too rough. Tekno loves getting out for a walk on lead and will need a home where he is walked daily as he has plenty of energy for a little dog. The daily exercise and stimulation of some playtime will help to keep him happy and healthy throughout his life. He would probably enjoy an enclosed/fenced dog park environment though he does need work on his recall skills.
Tekno has been undergoing some basic training with is foster carer. He sits beautifully for a treat (sometimes after some excited bounces!), and is now learning to drop/lie down. Tekno is a very smart little boy and is thriving with the stimulation provided by training. It is important that his new family are committed to continuing his training so that he can reach his full potential and have fun in the process. Tekno was not toilet trained upon entering our care but has progressed very well and you need to be prepared to finish this off when he goes to his new home. He is also crate trained and sleeps in there right through the night.
We are looking for a home where Tekno will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities. He will require a home with another playful dog and/or where someone is home most of the time so that he gets the attention that he deserves. Tekno is only a little guy and needs to be allowed to be inside with the family, and he must sleep inside out of the cold (particularly as he hates wearing coats!). He’s not one to enjoy being carried around a lot as he would rather be bouncing around on his own four feet. Tekno has no issue being able to jump up onto the lounge and would love if you could invite him up there to hang out with you.
