About Floki
American staffy x male
Mother: AmStaff x ridgeback Dad: AmStaff Available to be adopted from 05/08/07 - can be placed on hold.
FLOKI
Floki is a handsome little man that would make a great little companion. He loves people and likes to be able to see you most of the time. He likes to sprawl out and nap in the sunshine.
Still getting the hang of sit and come but is very good at staying in his own food bowl. Toilet training is also still a work in progress although he does usually go straight away once you take him outside.
Floki likes to be outside or inside but prefers to be able to see you. He's slowly coming out of his shell and is exploring more and more each day. He has also mastered those big scary steps!
Floki would love to be in a household with other dogs. He's a happy little fellow, tail is always wagging and his bum goes with it when he's excited. Him and his little round belly would make a great addition to any family.
This litter was surrendered to us as part of the 'Last Litter' program, meaning mum gets desexed at OTC expense, and all puppies come into care and receive full vet work, training and rehoming to screened adopters. The Last Litter program helps end the cycle of unwanted litters :) These pups are enjoying life in foster care and are receiving basic training such as sit, wait.
Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home, or in a public place. If you have other animals they must be at the meet.
If at the meet, you and the dog get along- you have the option of either taking the dog on the spot (in exchange for the full adoption fee paid upfront, and contract signed)- or placing the dog on hold for up to 2 days without any holding fee applicable. When adoption begins you will be provided with 7 days' worth of food for the dog, as well as what brand and type of food it is, so that you may change their diet carefully and slowly, or purchase more, if needed.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold dogs for 3 days or longer, without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the dog, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters and so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit non refundable to avoid time-wasters, especially when it comes to puppies under 5 months of age. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the dog. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you pay a $100 holding fee so we can hold the dog for a week- the day you collect the dog you will sign and adoption contract, and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $50 is non-refundable.
During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic in your area and OTC will cover any treatment needed.
On commencement of the trial period, OTC will send you a copy of your signed contract, the vaccination cards, desexing certificate and microchip number implant details.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox.
