About Geisha
Introducing Geisha. This sweet little girl is beautiful in both nature and looks, and loves to be fussed over. This Bubba is looking for an extra special furever home, with a doggy friend to help her, as she is blind. Don't be fooled though, what Geisha lacks in sight, she makes up for in personality, intelligence and love. She has adapted well as she grows and enjoys play time, cuddle time and food time just as much as any other puppy. Geisha is looking for a furever family who is committed to her needs. Ideally they'll have previous experience with blind dogs or be willing to learn about the ways in which they can support Geisha. As Geisha is still a baby, she will benefit from a family who is patient and willing to continue her toilet training, and invest in puppy socialising/training. The furever family who Geisha chooses will be so incredibly lucky and rewarded with a loyal and loving family member. Geisha will need to be adopted to a home with another dog of the opposite sex. Geisha is located in Ningi, next to Caboolture, QLD.
Cat Friendly: Yes
Dog Friendly: Yes
Child Friendly: Yes
House trained: Working on it
Separation Anxiety: No
Indoor/outdoor dog? Both
Medical notes
Geisha will be desexed, vaccinated & microchipped.
Geisha was diagnosed as blind. We believe this is something she was born with and besides the occasional bumps she copes very well and is a happy little girl who finds her way through smell and sound.
She will need someone who is happy to show her a little extra compassion and guidance as she finds her way around the world without sight. She will need to be allowed inside with access to out (she will take herself to the toilet). A home without lots of stairs would be ideal as these can be a little tricky. She will slowly work her way around and memorise the house.

ADOPTION:
To meet, adopt or find out more details on this animal, please fill in our adoption application at our website- http://www.safehavenanimalrescueinc.com
Completing this application form does not place you under any obligation to adopt.
Safe Haven Animal Rescue Inc have a 10 day trial/settling period, if for any reason the pet needs to be returned, we will happily take them back into our care once a foster home is found and the adoption fee minus $50 (admin fee) will be returned via bank transfer within 5 working days. If the pet is returned after the trial period there will be no refund made.
Harvey Dog Training supports SHARI and has kindly offered to provide our adopted animals 30% off training/obedience classes. If you are keen to enrol your new puppy/dog please mention this in your email to us!
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
2. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
3. The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 2 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
4. 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from foster carer.
5. Adoption is finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email.
Sorry we can’t take calls, as our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, but we endeavour to respond to your email within 24 - 48 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT HOLD ANY ANIMALS SO PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT NOW
