About Venus
Venus is absolutely adorable. At 14 weeks she only weighs 3.8 so we estimate her adult weight, calculated by doubling her weight and adding half the original weight, to be just under 10 kg. She has a very light frame and a compact build. This little girl just loves human company, and is very fond of a lap cuddle. She is also great with the big dogs in foster and can quite happily have a play wrestle with her 15 kg fellow foster brother, seen in one of the photos with her. She was a bit shy when she first came into care but she is growing in confidence every day. Her crew learnt their routine very quickly and they are really enjoying the safety and security of home life.
She and her brothers and sisters were surrendered to the local vet when her mum was de-sexed on the community de-sexing program in Tennant Creek. While they looked a bit rough when they first arrived, they didn't take long for them to bounce back, and now Venus is growing well, looks great and is ready for her loving forever home.
Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Jupiter's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide. She is currently in foster care in Elliott community.
