About Penelope
This adorable little lady is Penelope.
Penelope is a gentle sweetheart, full of love and cuddles. She can be very calm and observant but has that sharp Kelpie instinct of rounding up and following other animals.
While she has been in her foster home, Penelope has been getting along famously with the other dogs in the home. She loves their energy and has a great time playing with them and being part of the pack. Considering her breed and the high energy levels Penelope will have as she gets older, she will be looking for a home with a desexed MALE companion to share her days and activities with. Penelope will not be suited to a home as an only dog or with another female dog to prevent dominance issues that can occur between two females as she matures
This lovely girl will require lots of exercise and mental stimulation to help her reach her full potential and to prevent her from becoming bored. Obedience training or agility/herding classes would be a great sport for Penelope to undertake to offer her some time using the instincts she is already displaying at this young age.
She is already showing to be a very clever girl and is already learning some basic training.
Penelope currently gets to spend lots of time indoors in her foster home so she can feel like an important member of the family. She is great with the young children in the home and is loving the active lifestyle she is being offered. At night she is offered a warm bed indoors so she can feel safe. She is doing really well with her toilet training and can hang on overnight most of the time. She still needs the occasional reminder but is catching on really well.
An active home with a good sized yard will be ideal for Penelope to have the rooms she will need to move around as she grows. She will be happiest in a home where she will receive loads of outings so she can be offered lots of socialisation with new people and dogs. She is very social and enjoys new experiences and learning what life is all about.
Regular walks will also be a great bonding experience for her, her family and her new canine companion.
If you would like to offer Penelope her happy new lifestyle please contact us and we will be in touch shortly
Penelope is currently in Ballarat East, VIC
Medical notes
Penelope has been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated. She has also received flea and worm treatment while she has been in our care
Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
