About Trixie
Hello everyone, my name is Trixie and the Rescue Hub volunteers told me that I created quite a stir on Facebook! I was taken to the vet to be put to sleep, but the vet nurse didn't want to do that and asked Rescue Hub to save me. So here I am, alive today thanks to the Rescue Hub volunteers!
The other day I met 2 volunteers who gave me lots of cuddles and treats. At the start I was very jumpy, I really wanted some love! I know it is a bad habit but I am sure my new owner will train me out of this. After I had a quick walk I showed them how well I can sit for a treat, as well as how gently I take my treats. Then I got to meet not one but two new doggie friends! I can be a little dominant at the start, so the Rescue Hub team believe an experienced Staffy owner with a laid back friend will suit me best. But, as you can see in the video, once we met we all happily walked around together nicely. I do pull on the lead a little , which I am sure my new owner can work on with me.
We saw some kangaroos off in the distance, and I really wanted to chase them! I also saw a cat in the vet clinic reception, and I really wanted to get to it too! So please, a home without livestock and cats will be best for me.
So, in a nutshell, my ideal home must be:
- One with no cats or livestock
- Experienced with Staffys
- Located in Sydney
- With a submissive or friendly dog (I can be an only dog)
- One with older children not put off from my jumping (to start)
